There are lots of concerns that prevent women from feeling comfortable or confident enough to do a boudoir session (which makes us so sad!).
Here are some common worries AND solutions to help you overcome your concerns!
Body Image Insecurities: Many women may feel self-conscious about their bodies, worrying about perceived flaws or imperfections. They might be afraid of not looking attractive in their photos.
Why you shouldn't worry: Here's the truth ya'll. We don't see your perceived "flaws". We are purely focused on making sure the pose is perfect (hair is in place, straps are good to go, ect.), making sure the light is hitting you just right, making sure our camera settings are set perfectly for each lighting scenario, ect. We simply don't have time or eyes for anything else! lol In our eyes, your body is art and our job is to capture it in it's most flattering ways.
Fear of Judgment: There's often a fear of being judged. Women may worry about how they will be perceived or if others will approve of their decision to do a boudoir session.
Why you shouldn't worry: Our studio is a judgement free zone. A safe space. We have photographed hundreds of women which means hundreds of bodies- all different and unique from each other. We do the opposite of judge.. we empower women, we hype you up and we celebrate you for being you and for allowing yourself to be empowered by this amazing experience!
Lack of Confidence: Most women struggle with low self-esteem or a lack of confidence in their appearance, making it pretty nerve wrecking for them to feel comfortable posing in front of a camera in lingerie or semi-nude.
Why you shouldn't worry: We are HYPE QUEENS around here! Which means there will never be a moment where you feel awkward or uncomfortable, ever! Our photographer is super awesome, friendly, easy going and full of uplifting energy- which is why we love her! You could be the most insecure women in the world and you would feel sexy and empowered during your whole experience with us. This is a huge reason why hiring the right boudoir team is so important!
Concerns About Privacy: Some women might worry about the privacy of their boudoir photos, especially if they're worried about the images being shared without their consent.
Why you shouldn't worry: We never ever share our clients images without written consent- no way. You have the choice to allow us to share all of them, some of them (the ones you choose), share only anonymous shots, or share none at all. It's completely your choice and there is never any pressure from us.
Money: Cost can be a factor for some women. A great Boudoir experience can be expensive, and women may hesitate a bit to invest in something they perceive as unnecessary.
Why you shouldn't worry: Most of our clients view their boudoir experience as part of their wedding and budget for it as a wedding expense. We have heard from several clients that their wedding floral cost more than their boudoir experience! (which is crazy considering flowers die and your boudoir album will last a lifetime! (and his reaction to his gift will be engraved in your brain forever! lol)
....also, we do offer payment plans so that's amazing too.
